Small Town Snapshot Sunday #5

I'm a couple days late in getting this posted, but here it is...

Wendy at On the Front Porch hosts Small Town Snapshot Sunday. Check out the other participating bloggers on Wendy's blog, then join us and post one of your own!

The 4th of July is when the family gets together at my house and we spend the time in my yard celebrating being with family. We also do unusual things like plop an old couch in the front yard to sit on. Here are all my grandchildren that were able to make it here this year.
And this is what they usually look like....
The Princess is getting to be quite an artist...
I think the heart says "You Rock Dad" but I'll have to ask the Princess to be sure.
This airplane was colored in by the youngest grandson, but his daddy did the outline.

I love sidewalk art! These are great! There was a place where I lived years ago that had a sidewalk art competition every year called I Madonnari. Such talented people.

Thanks for bringing back the memories and for participating in STSS! :)

Wow, you have a great looking family. Ten grandchildren. I know you are one proud grandmother. How do you spoil all of them equally?

The sidewalk art is great. Princess may have an art career ahead of her someday. Hope all is well.

Wendy - The Princess loves to draw and she doesn't have sidewalks or paved drive at her house, so all her chalk comes here. The butterfly was really pretty in the bright sun. The grandson sure did a fine job of filling in the airplane and not getting outside the lines, rather impressive for such a little guy. It was a huge plane.

Michelle - I don't think it's a matter of spoiling them equally, but according to their needs. Some of them require more attention than the others. The grandchildren that live here in town are pretty good about making the ones that live out of town feel at home and I rely on them to help keep things running smoothly. They're all a GREAT bunch of children, though I may be a little biased. :)
