Daily Harvest - Sunset

So far, the harvest from my garden has been green. I've been getting lots of zucchini, and I haven't been letting them get very large if I can help it. The cucumbers are just starting to produce and the onions are still small. The lettuce and arugula have been producing just enough for my hubby and I to each have a small salad for dinner. I'm seeing tiny watermelon and cantaloupe and am eagerly watching the spaghetti squash and loaded tomato plants. I've got itty bitty okra and carrots and cabbage with wholly leaves. I've also been squishing cucumber and squash beetles. I never know from day to day what I'll get, it's always wait and see, but it's doing great for as late as I got it in.
It just finished raining again, I think we missed out on the bad winds this time, but there sure was a lot rain. The sun's shining again but there's still dark clouds all around us. Below are a couple of sunset shots that I took last week...

Hi there - thanks for your visit and comment about the other animals at the little zoo in Riverside Park. I was thinking it had monkeys. I remember as a kid getting upset because while I was watching the Monkeys (band) show on TV, my stepfather rudely changed the channel to something he wanted to watch - Porter Wagner or something. I was so angry, and he said to me "If you want to watch the Monkeys, go to the zoo". I took him literally, and took off walking. It was a long walk - a good one for walking off the anger I felt. It would of been a longer walk home! But, my mother told him he better get in the car and go get me, because she was quite sure I had gone to see the monkeys. While I was at the zoo looking at the ducks, I heard my stepfather holler from the car "I thought you wanted to see the monkeys". Oh what memories! I got a ride home, and everyone thought it was funny.

I've just been browsing your photos and posts, and found them to be very nice. Great Firework shots! They are so clear.

Welcome, Wendy! I've been visiting your blog regular, just haven't had the energy to comment. You walking to see the monkeys is quite a memory. I'm afraid that nowadays if a child were to take out walking like that alone everyone would freak, instead of calmly going to find them.

Glad you enjoyed my photos, I still have a lot to learn about my camera. I wouldn't have known how to shoot the fireworks if it wasn't for help from friends. Thanks, KSHIPPYCHIC!

Bob, sorry I didn't respond to your nice comment earlier. It's great to have a camera that does an accurate job of capturing sunsets.
