Welcome to my Office

Sorry I have been absent from my blog for a few days, I've found myself rather overloaded. Do you think I've got enough screens to look at. The little one up above is actually an under the counter TV/DVD/radio. The DVD on it doesn't work but my son has everything wired together so that I can use the TV screen as secondary screen for my computer. I usually just use it to watch TV, though. I had to bring the laptop in when I was doing my video editing as that when I render a video whatever computer/laptop is rendering can't be used for anything else. My desk isn't really as cluttered as it looks, I have a piece of Plexiglas on it and I've got pictures, business cards and other notes under the Plexiglas.
But back to what I've been doing; last week, after my last posting reporting on what I was doing, I hustled to finish up our "final" draft of Cardio Mike's Boot Camp video. Friday we met with Cardio Mike to go over the draft and re-tape the green screen scenes. Got home from that around 7pm because we stopped in Kingman to pick up son's bil and get tacos. Saturday I spent trying to get some things organized, got Christmas decorations picked up and up in the attic, tree and all. Monday hubby and I went to the Y and met daughter and 2 grandsons there. The boys (hubby included) played pool while dau. and I walked on the treadmills and exercised on a few of the machines. Dau. and 1 grandson left to get something to eat and visit sil. Kmonster stayed with us and we went to Walmart to get some new windshield wipers. Of course we got a few other items and we walked out to find freezing rain. I about fell down walking around the car. Drove on average around 30mph all the way home. Dau. made it home not long after us. Today I've spent working on the Boot Camp video and a few other projects. I have a few video projects that I need to be working on, so I may miss a few days posting, I'll try to let you know how it's going and possibly post some of what I'm working on. I'll be peeking in on my friends when time allows so y'all be good. TTYL

Whew! Busy life! :)
I wish I had a desk... I have everything for computer and homeschool set up next to the dining room table, and we clear it off to eat meals... lol
Not much room in FEMA trailers.. Actually, the square footage isn't much different than our house (which is 800 sq. ft.)... *sigh* at least there I have a little cubby I can build a built-in desk in!
Don't overdo it... This is the time of year to take good care of yourself so as not to get sick! :) Talk to you soon...:)

Thanks for stopping by, Anita. Hubby has his "desk" at the kitchen table. Would be nice to have a desk for him also, but I don't know where we'd put it that he could access it. I certainly don't want to get sick, I've got some grandkids that are ailing, but I haven't seen them in a few days. Hope they get all through with their contagions before they come visiting. : )

Holy schmoly! Your desk looks JUST like mine! Except I have a couple of stuffed animals my kids threw on top, and on one side there is a half-dead poinsettia.

Hi momo! OK I showed you mine, now I wanna see yours (you've got me curious). : )

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!

G'day from Australia,

I came here from Anita's blog. Sounds like you;ve had a fun time recently.

Isn;t it great having kids who know everything about everything!! I know the feeling ...

Cheers

My son claims that I taught HIM all about the computer and electronics, but I think he taught himself a lot more than what I know.

Welcome to my blog, David and I hope you'll visit often. Anita and I share a LOT of interests. Just a couple of Kansas girls! : )

Hi again, Moonshadow,

Yep, I agree with what you've said. Applies to both our sons!

Thank you for visiting my blog and I'm so glad you enjoyed your first time there.

Do keep in touch ...

Cheers

David

Hi! So this is your Command Center. For an office that is so cluttered and cramped with gear, why does it look so tidy?

Perhaps this is how NASA first started!

I'm also reminded of the Star Trek saying, "Captain, she can't take anymore". But I'm sure you'll find room for more!

Take Care
Peter

I find other people's desks really interesting - with some other blog friends, we did a round robin a while back. Wow yours is one hectic desk! I bet you know exactly where everything is, though. I used to clerk for a barrister who had his whole room packed with stuff - and he was brilliant in his work. Thanks for sharing your desk.

Back at ya', David! Sons are wonderful things! (Daughters are too!!)

Casdok - Welcome! Thanks. I took a peek at your blog, lots of interesting things to check out there. I'll be back when I have more time.

Hey, Peter! You're only seeing the half of it. You should see what's behind me in my office! I wouldn't really call it clutter, once you organize it's no longer clutter. : )

Welcome, Lynn! Hectic is a good word. But like I said, it only looks that way because of all the stuff under Plexiglas. Over the years I've learned to organize a lot of things into small spaces out of necessity.

Mrsnesbitt - I hope you had a wonderful walk. I'm sure the dog enjoyed that a lot more than you moving things around in the house.
