I am not posting this to voice any type of political statement or opinion, I just found it interesting that this could easily have been written in 2008. Do you know who was elected in 1968?

The Presidental election of 1968 for the USA was between Richard M Nixon and Hurbert H Humphrey (sp) the setting VP. I was struck that this was andressed to Uncle Santa Claus LnP...ems.

The comment was made to answer your question..."Do you know who was elected...?" On further thought at Christmas time in 1967, most were convinced that LBJ would be re-elected. We got more snow and brutal wind chills.I'm staying warm though. LnP...ems
I was just curious as to whether you had anticipated a different person to be addressed. We're being hit by the cold winds, too, no snow as yet. My office hasn't been THIS drafty cold in years. Feels like a window is open. Poor old house needs some patching up. Don't get out in it if you don't have too!
