They look so proud and happy, much like my father-in-law when he finally received his service medals in his 80's. The smile this put on his face turned back the years to reveal him as he once was, a young man who served proudly for his country as an airman.

Take Care,
Peter

Three of the five brothers in my father's family proudly served in the U.S. military. The brother in this picture, my Uncle Wes, was a DUKW (duck) driver. There was a documentary on PBS a few years back and he was interviewed and shown in it. The younger of the three brothers was inlisted during the Korean conflict and died in a helicopter crash stateside. Dad was a Marine and forever proud to have served. I totally understand what you meant about the youthful glow they get. :)

Hi! We are still waiting for the offical wedding photos to come out. May be a while though, as the bride and groom are still not yet home. As soon as I get some, I'll post them!

Take Care,
Peter

I don't know how else to say hello every time I see you visit my site, so here I am leaving a comment! No costume pictures of your grand kids?

Hey René! Good to see you visit. You commented here even before I finished reading your blog post! I am way behind in my blog posts. Maybe with the colder weather and the garden and yard not needing my attention I might get something posted. :)

Hi! Glad you liked the wedding photos. I was going over ours the other day and something struck me, we looked, well, so dorky way back then.

Take Care,
Peter
