Happy Halloween!

The granddaughters came over to get ready for Halloween. The older granddaughter is wearing my leather fringe jacket and bag that I got for Christmas around 1970 or so... The hat and boots are mine also but not as old, the boots being much newer.
For the younger granddaughter I found some long hair on a headband in with the dress up stuff to complete her Astrid costume from "How to Train Your Dragon." You never know what you're going to see on Halloween night.

Or what modes of transportation they will be taking.
All types walking together on Halloween night.
I really like these and wondered if their costumes lasted till the end of the night. I think they were suppose to be the Fruit of Loom guys.
I hope you all had a very Happy and Safe Halloween!

Hi! Halloween is catching on in Australia as well. Quite not sure how to take it though, especially when kids rock up at home and we haven't got anything to give. Must remember to get something next time though as I'd hate to be remembered as a stinge!

As a rule, how much are you supposed to give when the little people come around?

Now, have you been affected by the recent tornadoes? I saw some coverage while I was at work and looking at the news now, it said Kansas was involved. Is that right?

Hoping you are Ok!

Take Care,
Peter

Hey, Peter! The kids all have a great time on Halloween. I usually buy bags of the bite size single wrap candies. I get a large variety and dump them in a big bowl. When the kids come up I tell them to take a few and most will only take one because their parents have scolded them about taking more than that. I usually have to tell them to take a few more. Some people have been known to give quarters or pencils and stickers. They don't want to give candy because of tooth decay and/or calories.

The bad weather missed us here this time. We did have some really high winds one day. I found a neighbors shingles in my garden.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi and thanks for that. BTW My bloglist is showing this post as your most recent. Odd that! Not to worry though, as you gave me some good advise. PS I guess the post date should have given me a clue! Must be going bonkers mustn't I.

Take Care,
Peter

How strange about your bloglist. I realize I haven't posted in a while but my last post was March 2, 2011. Not a problem on which post you comment on as that some of my posts haven't had comments and all comments from friends are welcome (spammers are not). I hope you're still healing well. I'm still waiting to see more about your sweet little granddaughter. :)

Be Well, My Friend!
