The Golden Wheat Chapter AHSGR fund raiser at Souper Salad was a huge success! We set up our table with fliers and a donation jar by the door. Wow! It's been a while since I last posted here. I've just been so preoccupied with other things lately. I've been getting up around 6:30 - 7am and going out to the garden. I don't use any pesticides so to keep the squash bugs from destroying my plants I have to turn leaves and look for eggs or even bugs which I then squash. This year the Princess decided to have a swim party and since there were so many pictures taken, I'm just going to insert slideshows. The party started in the afternoon with swimming, of course. Saturday morning stated with the younger grandson's (in town) having a soccer game. Tuesday the 23rd was the annual Bierock Bake Fundraiser for our Golden Wheat Chapter AHSGR. When I came in the baking had been underway for several hours already. The air smelled of baking dough. There were bierock cooling... ...and bierock in boxes waiting to be wrapped up to go. Meat, cabbage and spices sat in pans waiting to be put into the dough that was rising under towels on the range.

It's been a year of highs and lows. I've had a difficult time getting back into posting to my blog, or doing many other things as far as that goes. In September I lost my father and there's a void that I'm still in the process of learning how to deal with.
