We had one behind our house while I was growing up. I can't tell you how many times I would pack my hobo bag...scarf tied on the end of a stick...over my shoulder and take a hike. It was the best ever!

Thanks for stopping by my blog..I just found out about the Small Town Snapshot Sundays over at Wendy's. The north tracks, many moons ago, carried the passenger trains. Stories I've heard was that our little town was once a thriving city with constant passenger train traffic. Many of the buildings that housed the businesses are long gone.Moonshadowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10620199622292684334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3109127725666154277.post-12955245212864144912009-06-14T22:49:36.487-05:002009-06-14T22:49:36.487-05:00Michelle - a lot of kids nowadays don't have t...Michelle - a lot of kids nowadays don't have the opportunity to appreciate an early morning walk. Nothing like birdsong on a cool spring/summer morning. I think the dip and rise in the horizon increases the effect of going on forever. I've hauled lots of things in my carrier. I've got a storage tub that I set in it when I need a solid surface. Knee's nearly healed.:) Listening to Moonshadowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10620199622292684334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3109127725666154277.post-33612475186945997862009-06-14T22:31:29.014-05:002009-06-14T22:31:29.014-05:00This is a great post. I used to walk a dirt road to the bus stop everyday when I was a teenager and loved it. I bet the carrier comes in handy quite often, doesn't it? Hope your knee is feeling better. Have a great night.poefusionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15157059633840032305noreply@blogger.com
